Reels are where trends start, from recipes and travel hacks to dance challenges and quick tutorials. Downloading lets you rewatch them offline, collect references for your own content and keep a backup of the Reels you publish yourself.

Why download Instagram Reels?
Instagram lets you save Reels to a collection, but only inside the app and only while the post stays online. If the creator deletes it or makes the account private, your saved Reel is gone. Downloading the MP4 gives you a permanent copy for personal use that plays anywhere, even offline.
Social media managers download their brand's own Reels to repurpose them on TikTok and YouTube Shorts, editors collect B-roll they have licensed, and fitness fans keep workout Reels on their phone for the gym where reception is poor.
Public Reels only
SavyClip can only access Reels from public accounts. Content from private profiles, close-friends stories and restricted posts is not available, and we never try to bypass Instagram's privacy settings. Please respect creators' rights and ask before reposting their Reels.
Getting the best quality from Reels
Instagram compresses Reels differently depending on how they were uploaded. Clips recorded inside the Instagram camera are often stored at 720p, while Reels uploaded from a phone gallery or editing app usually keep 1080p. SavyClip always offers the highest version Instagram makes available, so if a download looks soft, the original upload was most likely lower resolution. For audio-only use, the MP3 option is smaller and quicker than downloading the full video first.
