There is no software to install and no account to create. The conversion runs on our server, and the temporary files it needs are deleted after your download.
What you get
- MP3 at 128, 192 or 320 kbps
- The original audio track as an alternative, without re-encoding
- Videos from TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, X, Reddit, Pinterest, Vimeo, Dailymotion and Twitch
- Videos up to the site's length limit for conversions
How to use it
Step 1: Copy the video link
Open the video in its app or website, tap Share and choose Copy link.
Step 2: Paste it here
Paste the link into the box on this page and press the button next to it.
Step 3: Pick a bitrate
Choose an MP3 at 128, 192 or 320 kbps.
Step 4: Download the MP3
Press Download. The sound is converted on our server first, so longer videos take a little longer to start.
How the conversion works
SavyClip takes the sound of the video, which platforms usually deliver as AAC, and encodes it as an MP3 with the bitrate you selected. Only the sound is converted, never the picture. The finished file is passed to your browser and the temporary copy on our server is deleted.
The MP3 keeps the full length of the video's sound, and the file is named after the post's title when the platform provides one.
Choosing 128, 192 or 320 kbps
A higher bitrate keeps more of the source's detail and creates a larger file. As a rough guide:
- 128 kbps for speech, interviews, lectures and podcasts.
- 192 kbps for music on a phone or in headphones; a good default.
- 320 kbps when you want the most detail an MP3 can hold, for example for good speakers.
MP3 or the original track?
Every conversion re-encodes the sound. The result also lists the original audio track, usually M4A, which is a copy of the platform's sound without any conversion. It keeps the original quality and plays on almost every modern device; choose it when you do not specifically need MP3. A 320 kbps MP3 cannot sound better than the platform's original sound, it only avoids adding audible losses.
Common problems and fixes
If the MP3 is not offered or the conversion stops, check these points:
- "This video is too long": conversion is limited to a maximum length. Choose the original track instead, which needs no conversion.
- No MP3 option: the video has no sound, for example a GIF from X or Reddit.
- "We're very busy right now": all conversion slots are in use. Wait a moment and try again.
- Pexels, Pixabay and YouTube (by default) links do not offer audio.
Listen, don't republish
Songs and sounds used in videos usually belong to artists and labels. Converting them for your own listening is one thing; uploading the MP3 elsewhere, using it in your own videos or selling it requires permission from the rights holders. For your own projects, use music that is licensed for that purpose.
Limitations
- Conversion is limited to videos up to the site's maximum length.
- Videos without sound cannot be converted to MP3.
- Pexels and Pixabay items, and YouTube videos by default, are not available.
- Live streams, private and DRM-protected videos are not supported.
Questions and answers
Which bitrate should I choose?
192 kbps is a good choice for music on most devices. Use 128 kbps for speech and 320 kbps if you want the most detail an MP3 can hold.
Can I convert a TikTok sound to MP3?
Yes. Paste the link of a TikTok video or photo slideshow that uses the sound and choose an MP3.
Why does the conversion take longer than a normal download?
The sound has to be decoded and encoded again on our server before the file can be sent to you. Longer videos take longer.
Can I convert YouTube videos to MP3?
Not by default. Downloading from YouTube, including its audio, is switched off because YouTube's Terms of Service do not allow it.
