You do not need a Dailymotion account. SavyClip never asks for a password and works only with videos that anyone can watch without signing in.
What you can download

- The sound of a video as an MP3
- The video thumbnail

Paste the link into the box on the SavyClip home page and press Download.

Which Dailymotion links work
Use the link of one video. These forms are recognized:
- https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x8abcde_video-title (older links with the title)
- https://dai.ly/x8abcde (short links)
- https://www.dailymotion.com/embed/video/x8abcde and player links on geo.dailymotion.com that contain video=x8abcde
Where to find Copy link
In the Dailymotion app on iPhone and Android, open the video and tap the Share icon below the player, then choose Copy link. In a mobile browser, the Share button sits below the video as well.
On a computer, click Share below the player and copy the link it shows, or copy the address from the address bar. For a Dailymotion video embedded on a news site, the easiest way is to click the Dailymotion logo in the player, which opens the video on dailymotion.com, and copy that address.
Quality you can expect
Dailymotion usually offers several versions of a video, from small 240p or 380p files to 720p and 1080p, and occasionally higher for recent uploads. SavyClip lists the versions Dailymotion provides for that video and never upscales a file. File sizes are shown only when they are known.
Common problems and fixes
If a Dailymotion link does not work, check these points:
- "This post isn't available in our region": many news and sports videos are licensed for certain countries only. If the video is blocked where our server is located, it cannot be saved.
- "This post is private": the video is private and can only be watched through a private link from its owner.
- "This post is age-restricted": videos for adults only are not supported.
- "Live streams can't be downloaded": live broadcasts are not supported. Replays published after the broadcast can be saved if they are public.
Use the videos responsibly
Much of Dailymotion's content comes from media companies that license it carefully, and the rest belongs to independent creators. Save videos for personal, offline viewing, do not re-upload them elsewhere, and contact the publisher if you would like to use a clip in your own work.
Limitations
- Private videos are not supported.
- Videos blocked in the country of our server cannot be saved.
- Live broadcasts and age-restricted videos are not supported.
- Channels and playlists are not supported; use the link of a single video.
