Pexels Video and Photo Downloader

Pexels is a library of free stock photos and videos shared by photographers and videographers. SavyClip reads Pexels items through the official Pexels API and lists every file Pexels publishes for them: for a video, each available resolution; for a photo, the original file. The creator's name is shown with the result so you can credit them.

Status on this server:Not available yetWhat the status means

Pexels has its own free download button, too. SavyClip is useful when you already have a Pexels link, for example on your phone, and want to pick a specific resolution quickly. This platform works once the site owner has added a Pexels API key; the status on this page shows whether it is available.

What you can download

  • Pexels videos as MP4, in every resolution Pexels provides
  • Pexels photos as the original file
  • The creator's name shown with every result
  • The preview image of a video or photo

How to use it

  1. Step 1: Copy the Pexels link

    Open the video or photo on pexels.com or in the Pexels app and copy its link.

  2. Step 2: Paste it into SavyClip

    Paste the link into the box on the SavyClip home page and press Download.

  3. Step 3: Choose a size

    Pick the resolution you need. Smaller files are enough for social media and phones; the largest suit editing and big screens.

  4. Step 4: Download and credit

    Press Download next to your choice. Crediting the creator shown in the result is appreciated.

Which Pexels links work

Use the page of one video or photo, in any language version of the site, or a direct file link from Pexels:

  • https://www.pexels.com/video/waves-on-the-beach-1234567/
  • https://www.pexels.com/photo/mountain-lake-at-sunrise-1234567/
  • https://www.pexels.com/de-de/video/waves-on-the-beach-1234567/ (other languages)
  • https://images.pexels.com/photos/1234567/... and https://videos.pexels.com/video-files/1234567/...

Where to find the link

On pexels.com, open the photo or video and copy the address from the address bar, or use the Share button on the item's page. On iPhone and Android, the browser's Share menu has a Copy option; in the Pexels app, open the item and use its Share option to copy the link. Collection, search and profile pages list many items, so open a single one first.

The Pexels License in short

Everything on Pexels can be downloaded and used for free, in personal and commercial projects, and you may modify it. Attribution is not required, but crediting the photographer or videographer and Pexels is always appreciated. The license does not allow everything, for example:

  • showing identifiable people in a bad light or in an offensive way;
  • selling unaltered copies, such as prints or posters, without modifying them first;
  • implying that people or brands shown endorse your product;
  • redistributing or selling the files on other stock photo or wallpaper platforms;
  • using them as part of a trademark or business name.

Quality and common problems

Pexels videos often come in several resolutions, from small mobile versions up to Full HD and sometimes 4K, and SavyClip lists exactly what Pexels publishes. Photos are offered as the original upload, which can be very large. Stock footage is offered as video files only, so no MP3 or audio extraction is available for Pexels.

If a link fails with a message that the platform is not set up yet, the site owner has not added an API key. If Pexels cannot find the item, it may have been removed by its creator; check the link in your browser.

Use free media well

Free does not mean without rules. Read the full Pexels License on pexels.com before using a file commercially, check that a scene with people, logos or artworks suits your purpose, and credit the creator when you can. It helps photographers keep sharing their work.

Limitations

  • Available once the site owner has added a Pexels API key.
  • Stock footage is offered as video files only; audio extraction is not available.
  • Collections, search results and profile pages are not supported; use the link of a single item.
  • Use of the files is governed by the Pexels License.

Questions and answers

Do I have to credit the creator?

The Pexels License does not require it, but credit is always appreciated. The result shows the creator's name so you can credit them easily, for example "Video by Name from Pexels".

Can I use Pexels videos in commercial projects?

Yes, the Pexels License allows commercial use, with the restrictions summarized above. For important projects, read the full license on pexels.com.

Why does it say the platform is not available yet?

SavyClip uses the official Pexels API, which needs a key from the site owner. Until a key is added, Pexels links cannot be processed.

Is 4K available?

Only when the creator uploaded the video in 4K. SavyClip lists every resolution Pexels publishes for that video.
