Pinterest is full of ideas collected from all over the web, so many pins show work by photographers, illustrators and brands rather than by the person who pinned them. SavyClip makes it easy to keep a copy for your own reference; it does not give you the right to reuse it.

How to use it
Step 1: Copy the pin link
In the Pinterest app, open the pin, tap the Share icon and choose Copy link.
Step 2: Paste it into SavyClip
Paste the link into the box on the SavyClip home page and press Download.
Step 3: Choose a file
For a video pin, pick a quality or the MP3; for an image pin, the full-size image.
Step 4: Download
Press Download next to your choice and your browser saves the file.

Use the link of a single pin. Links from all of Pinterest's country sites work, such as pinterest.co.uk, pinterest.de or pinterest.com.mx, as well as the short links the app creates:

Where to find Copy link
On iPhone and Android, tap a pin to open it, then tap the Share icon (an arrow pointing up, next to the heart and the comment icons) and choose Copy link in the row of options. On a video pin, tap the video once if the buttons are hidden.
On a computer, open the pin, click the Share icon above or below the image and choose Copy link, or copy the address from the address bar. Board, profile and search pages contain many pins, so open the pin you want first.
Quality you can expect
Pinterest keeps several sizes of each image and shows a compressed one in the feed. SavyClip offers the largest version Pinterest has, which is usually the size of the original upload. Video pins are offered in the resolutions Pinterest provides for that pin, often up to 720p or 1080p; file sizes appear only when Pinterest reports them.
Common problems and fixes
If a pin does not work, check these causes:
- "No video or image found": the pin only links to another website. Open that website and paste its link instead if it is a supported platform.
- "This kind of post can't be saved": the link is a board, a profile or a search page rather than a pin.
- "We couldn't find this post": the pin was deleted or is on a secret board that only its owner can see.
- The image looks smaller than expected: Pinterest only stores the size that was uploaded, so an image pinned from a small preview stays small.
Credit the original creator
A pin is often a bookmark to someone else's work. If you want to use an image or video for anything beyond personal inspiration, follow the pin to its source, find the creator and ask for permission. For free-to-use images, stock libraries such as Pexels and Pixabay, which SavyClip also supports, publish clear licenses.
Limitations
- Pins that only link to another website are not supported.
- Pins on secret boards and from private accounts are not supported.
- Boards, profiles and search pages are not supported; use the link of a single pin.
- Age-restricted content is not supported.

Can I download a whole Pinterest board?
No. SavyClip saves one pin at a time and does not support boards or profiles.
Do pin.it short links work?
Yes. Paste the short link as it is; SavyClip follows it to the pin automatically.
Is the image the original size?
It is the largest version Pinterest stores for that pin, which is usually the size the image was uploaded in.
